JOB DESCRIPTION Summary The pharmacy technician is integral in the processing and preparation of prescriptions. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, the technician performs data entry, third-party (insurance) adjudication, inventory selection and prescription packaging tasks. The technician directly interacts with patients, provider offices, insurance companies and wholesalers on a daily basis. Attention to detail and strong customer service skills are essential traits for a successful pharmacy technician. Education and/or experience
