Piedmont Access to Health Services, Inc. received a perfect score from a recent site visit from the Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

A team made up of three professionals in areas of finance, governance and management spent three days at the PATHS corporate office in Danville, according to a news release.

The site review team examined records and interviewed staff and board members in an effort to ensure all areas of PATHS are operating according to 19 elements established by the Department of Health and Human Services. These elements provide checks and balances and create an environment of accountability where patients are at the forefront of all decisions by staff and board.

All federally qualified community health centers must have a site review by the department every five years.
